dhb architects is on the Irish Georgian Society’s list of conservation practitioners and is an official consultant for the Heritage Council through director Fintan Duffy who has a Master’s degree in Urban and Building Conservation and has worked on protected structures, national monuments and heritage sites both in Ireland and on the continent. Fintan has been conservation officer with Waterford City Council for a period, he is member of the Irish Georgian Society, the International Council for Monuments and Sites (the primary world conservation body) and teaches conservation on the Architectural degree programme in WIT. As well as building descriptions, measured surveys, conservation and conditions reports, rectified photography and historical appraisals, dhb architects regularly carries out Architectural Heritage Impact Assessments for local authorities. We also deal regularly with local authority conservation officers and Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government advisors.
