The three directors, Fintan, Máire & Harry have extensive experience in practice, teaching & research in Ireland, France and Finland having collaborated with renowned architects such as Juhani Pallasmaa, Henri Gaudin and Renzo Piano in nearly every sphere of architectural design and practice. All three are RIAI-registered architects. They bring this international experience into all company projects.
The company has received national and international awards for its work and the practice’s work was short listed in 2010 & 2011 at the World Festival of Architecture in Barcelona.
Each project undertaken is unique and is led by one of the three directors who remain very ‘hands on’ during all stages of the work. Quality is achieved and maintained through intensive research, applied innovative and sustainable architectural solutions and clear communications at all stages with clients and members of the design and construction team. 3d digital and physical modelling of designs are often used to develop architectural intentions and to help clients better understand the architectural solutions.
dhb architects is a RIAI-registered practice and is listed on the Irish Georgian Society’s list of Conservation Practitioners.
